Ryan Rotary RX8 Billet Low-Mount Turbo Manifold

This was a very interesting little project. Ryan Rotary Performance specified the need for an extremely compact manifold, in this case to allow the use of a larger turbo size that can normally be used in this mounting position on the car. It was impossible to fabricate from mandrel bend/tube and would have not been easy to move to a production workflow with a fabrication from sheet material.

So we did something a little unusual and CNC machined the manifold from Stainless Steel billet! Thus allowing us to keep the exhaust port profiles flat against the engine block maximising the space available for the turbo.

We used our in house 3D printing capability to validate the design before handing off to the RRP manufacturer of choice, once machined it was returned to us for final welding and surfacing. It was delivered back to them a few days later.

From idea to product back to the doorstep!
